MANILA—The Society of Philippine Motoring Journalists (SPMJ) and Manila North Tollways Corporation (MNTC) recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement last January 17, 2017 at the Palms Country Club in Alabang.

With this Memorandum of Agreement, MNTC will serve as the Cooperating Sponsor of the SPMJ’s upcoming event, the ‘Driven to Serve’ Awards. The prestigious event was conceived to recognize the most outstanding CSR projects undertaken by the automotive manufacturers and distributors in the Philippines.

With this event, the SPMJ hopes to cast light on the heartwarming efforts these companies have put into community development, protection of the environment, education, and road safety. The SPMJ has adopted this new advocacy in order to spur more corporate entities to follow in their footsteps as well as encourage those already engaged in such projects to soldier on.

Applicable entries for the event have already been fielded and have recently undergone judging by some of the luminaries in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility. The most outstanding projects will be announced in its formal and intimate ceremony to be held in February.
