Coming on the heels of a remarkable double-digit growth in February, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the Philippines, caps the first quarter of 2017 on sustained momentum with its recent foray into car assembly.

In what is considered a strategic response to the robust car demand in the country, HARI recently launched the Hyundai Assembly Center (HAC) located at the Laguna Technopark, Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

HARI President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo (5th from right) leads the ceremonial toast during the official launch of the Hyundai Assembly Center. With her are (L-R): HMC CV Asia & Pacific Regional Headquarters Manager Junho HA; General Manager Seong-Gi Kang; General Manager Cha Deug Yong; HARI Vice-Chairman Conrad Marty; Chairman Edward Go; HMC Asia & Pacific Regional Headquarters Deputy General Manager Joonmo AHN; and Brand Strategy Team Head Kuen-Young Lee.

HARI President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo, in a guided tour of the production facility, opened the doors of this new venture to executives of Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) of South Korea, directors of the HARI board, and the company’s expansive dealer network.

Seamless production and expert workmanship are the hallmarks of the assembly plant, where over a hundred technical experts manning cutting-edge equipment ensure the production of vehicles that conform to the highest quality standards.

A culture of quality and excellence at the HAC ensures seamless delivery of products of superior value.

Agudo noted, “We take quality and excellence seriously at Hyundai. And it could not be more evident than in our operations at the Hyundai Assembly Center, where quality and excellence are a standard by which all workmanship is shaped. This is how we are able to guarantee seamless methods, efficient service, and products of superior value—the very things that every Filipino deserves.”

Unveiled during the launch was an impressive fleet of Hyundai Eon and H350, each vehicle brandishing the seal of quality and excellence the Hyundai brand is known for. At present, the HAC assembles these two frontrunners—the top-selling Eon, widely preferred for its compact yet stylish design complemented by unmatched fuel efficiency, and the versatile H350, considered a masterpiece of aesthetics and functionality.

Chic yet powerful, the sporty Hyundai Eon is in a class of its own, offering unparalleled fuel efficiency for maximum on-the-road enjoyment.

With the opening of the HAC, HARI affords Filipino consumers better access to their models of choice, while generating jobs and promoting skill enhancement. This expansion in the HARI business portfolio is seen to trigger a dramatic increase in passenger car and commercial vehicle sales and boost the growth of the automotive industry in the ASEAN region.
