Nissan Philippines Welcomes New Leadership Starting April 2025

Nissan has officially announced the appointment of Mr. Masao Tsutsumi as the new President of Nissan Philippines, effective April 1, 2025. In his new role, he will be overseeing operations in the Philippines while reporting directly to Toshihiro Fujiki, President of Nissan ASEAN and Thailand.

Based in Manila, Tsutsumi’s leadership marks an exciting chapter for Nissan’s growth in the region.

Masao Tsutsumi is currently senior vice president of Nissan Motor Thailand, in charge of non-Monozukuri (Marketing, Sales, Dealer Network Development/Customer Experience and Customer Quality, After Sales, Human Resources and Administration, Communications, External and Government Affairs, Legal, Information System, and Corporate Planning).

Tsutsumi has over two decades of experience in Marketing, Brand, Sales and Aftersales across various industries such as fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), technology and electronics, and food services. He started in Nissan in 2018 under the Japan Brand and Media Strategy and became part of the ASEAN Market in 2021.

Yasuhisa Masuda, Nissan Philippines’ current President, will take a new role in Japan. His new assignment will be announced in due course.

Under Masuda, Nissan Philippines launched Nissan Z Nismo, Almera Sport variant, and upcoming All-New Patrol. He has also expanded the brand’s footprint with four (4) new dealerships. With his leadership, the brand celebrated its 55th year in the Philippines and introduced the new brand philosophy “Always Daring.”

Tsutsumi’s official inauguration will be made after his qualification under Philippine Laws, and the confirmation and election by NPI’s Board of Directors.
