About two weeks ago, Kia announced that would head to the 2014 Detroit Auto Show with a 2+2 concept car   that will preview the long-rumored Kia sports car. Today the company revealed the concept’s official name and a new image of the concept. This new concept is named the GT4 Stinger and, according to the details that Kia gave us, it will bring into focus the latest version of Kia’s signature “Tiger Nose” grille. Along with the revised grille, the GT4 Stinger will also feature vertical LED headlights flanking the white surround of the grille, brake cooling vents, 20-inch wheels and a carbon fiber front splitter mounted below the bumper. This first image really gives us a nice look at this striking front end, and we simply cannot wait to see it.

TOYS FOR THE BIG BOYS

image

Whether they arrived chewed, chipped or chopped, toy cars were welcomed into the body shops of Audi this past holiday season. Coming to our attention via the advertising trend site Contagious.com, Audi Toy Service was a promotion that ran from 19-23 December in Spain among Audi’s dealerships, whereby toy cars, regardless of type or brand, could be brought in and repaired, free of charge. Owners pre-registered on a microsite to bring their toys into one of several Audi dealerships around Spain, where toy-repair experts would match paint, replace missing wheels, add custom decals, repair and grease slot-car parts, fix broken steering racks and blast every millimetre of accumulated dust.

LEAKED: 2015 Subaru WRX STI images

image

The first allegedly official images of the 2015 Subaru WRX STI have been published online, ahead of a confirmed NAIAS debut later this month. Subaru introduced the 2015 WRX back in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show and now we catch a first glimpse at the hotter STI variant which adopts a more aggressive body kit painted in Subaru’s traditional World Rally Blue matched with golden alloy wheels. Apparently this finish will be reserved initially for a first edition which is likely to come with other enhancements. While the aforementioned WRX makes use of a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter boxer rated at 268 bhp (200 kW) and 258 lb-ft (349 Nm), the STI is rumored to get a larger 2.5-liter turbocharged four-banger with 300 bhp (224 kW) and 290 lb-ft (393 Nm).
