DIG OR DIS: SUCCESSOR TO CHEVROLET Z06

imageWith the new 2014 Corvette Stingray hitting showrooms soon, we can only assume that Chevy will be revealing higher-performance versions in the near future. One of these new high-performance versions is the successor to the Z06, and, according to Chevrolet’s official confirmation it will keep the same nomenclature during the seventh generation. Just like the previous Z06 , the new model, will likely feature a sportier suspension system, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes and larger Michelin tires to help keep the speedy `Vette glued to the road. Rumors suggest that the Z06 will carry a 6.2-liter, V-8 engine that delivers a total of 600 horsepower and mates to a Tremec TR-6070, seven-speed manual transmission.

We’ll have our answer hopefully this March at Geneva.

CAMARO Z/28 FOR $75k

2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

For $75K, you can put a Z/28 Camaro in your driveway and be well on your way to chasing down just about anything that you can see past the aggressive front end. A 7.0-liter LS7 V8, which makes 505 hp and 481 lb-ft of torque, sits under the hood. Yes, that’s a lot of power, but Chevy clearly knows that fast lap times don’t come from power alone.
