The Lamborghini Aventador’s base price sits right around $400,000. DMC Tuning’s upcoming Edizione GT package costs a mammoth $288,888. How’s that for an investment? The GT is Stage Three of DMC’s Aventador customization process, as a follow-up to the Stage One Molto Veloce and the Stage Two Spezial Version, and it’s easily the most ferocious, with Veneno-inspired looks and what’s sure to be impressive improvement in power. The official details are yet to be released, but the division of price is $89,990 for the body kit and $134,530 for the engine upgrades. Look for the official release and more photos soon.

Back in 2010, Porsche unveiled a GTS version for its 911 Carrera, and now it looks like the history is about to repeat itself. Here’s a spy shot that seems to reveal more than a simple revision to the latest generation of the Porsche 911   — the 991. Up front, there is a new front bumper with revised air intakes and new, LED daytime running lights. Additionally, the rear end gets a new set of taillights, which lead us to believe that this GTS also carries the changes that we can expect across the entire 911 range — sans the wide-body kit, of course. The facelifted Porsche 991 Carrera is expected to be unveiled in late 2014 or early 2015 and the GTS version should arrive during the same period.

Pininfarina is reportedly eyeing a return to coachbuilding, the process of designing and building unique bodies for existing car chassis, in an effort to grow its business. The Italian design house has previously built a handful of coachbuilt creations for wealthy clientele, with recent examples including the Ferrari Enzo-based P4/5 by Pininfarina and Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe Hyperion, and soon we may see a lot more of these unique creations. Pininfarina ran into trouble following the financial crisis and had to give up on ambitions to become a volume automaker. Since then the company has managed to restructure its debt and has even turned a small profit by focusing purely on design. Now it appears Pininfarina is ready to start building cars again, albeit on a much smaller scale compared to when it was churning out cars such as the Volvo C70, Ford Focus CC and Alfa Romeo Brera and Spider.

Ferrari has announced plans to pay tribute to Michael Schumacher with a “silent and respectful event” at the Grenoble University Hospital where he is recovering from a skiing accident. In a post on the Scuderia Ferrari Facebook page, the company is calling for Ferrari owners to show up with their cars to celebrate Schumacher’s 45th birthday. The event is being scheduled by the Scuderia Ferrari Club and interested owners are being asked to contact their local club for additional information if they can attend. As we have previously reported, Schumacher remains in critical condition following a skiing accident on December 29th. Earlier this week, doctors said Schumacher’s condition has improved but “we cannot say that he is out of danger.”
