The Italian automaker enters its hundredth year in business a year from now, being officially founded on December 1, 1914. A series of activities is planned to celebrate the centenary, which can be found at a newly launched website–maserati100.com–to keep owners, fans and collectors informed of the year’s festivities. The biggest event will be an official Maserati gathering in Modena from September 19-21, 2014. As many as 250 Maserati models from all over the world are expected to descend on the town, with driving routes on local roads and even track sessions available. If you’ve a Maserati tucked away that needs an outing, make it this one. The Museo Casa Enzo Ferrari in Modena will also host a series of historic models, and this Friday, Maserati will be presented with a special centennial book to celebrate its last 100 years.

After BMW announced the i8, German magazine Autobild claims the M version will be seen by 2016. The magazine claims that it will carry a twin-turbo V-8 engine that develops around 600 horsepower. This should be enough to sprint the car from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 3 seconds and up to a top speed of 200 mph. The model will reportedly keep i8’s carbon-fiber passenger cell that will help keep its curb weight of about 1,500 kg (3,300 pounds).

Wearing heavy camouflage gear on its front and rear, the new Challenger is expected to sport new bumpers, revised lights and perhaps a new hood design. The rest of the car is likely to stay the same, although we may see Dodge introduce some new wheel patterns and colors. The interior is expected to receive a major update, with improved materials and more user-friendly controls likely to make the cut. An eight-speed automatic should be offered across the range, along with some new tech features such as the latest Uconnect interface, a reversing camera, and possibly even radar and camera monitoring systems.
