HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?

Recently, two people were driving along in their Audi in China when—BOOM—a gigantic shipping container slipped off a truck and landed right on top of their car. It literally flattened the roof and crushed the entire fro…nt end of the car. Miraculously, the two people who were in the Audi at the time did survive. They needed to be treated for some non-life threatening injuries at a hospital a short time later, but it seems they’re both going to be fine. Can’t say about their car, though.

ELECTRIFYING COMBO

While he did not go into specifics, Daimler CFO Bodo Uebber seems to want more cooperation with Tesla. According to him, Daimler and subsidiary Mercedes-Benz “could use more” electric motors and batteries, indicating a p…ossible future electric compact from the brand. As you know, Mercedes-Benz is already planning to sell the B Class Electric Drive globally next year. Tesla will supply the car’s battery and motor.

WHATTA STUNT!

Red Bull officially walked away with the F1 constructor’s and driver’s championship for the fourth year in a row. In order to mark the occasion, the team decided to do something special. It let David Coulthard loose on the Burj Al Arab helipad in an F1 car. Just so you know, the Burj Al Arab is the world’s fourth-tallest hotel, and the helipad (which doubles as a tennis court) sits 689 feet above the salt water below.
