WHY NISSAN GT-R HAS A $100K PRICE TAG

GTR

Why has Nissan taken the GT-R from 2009’s $70,850 to 2015’s starting point of $103,365? As the old adage goes, “because they can.” But the GT-R remains a relative bargain, given its supercar-slaying capabilities, and Nissan has subjected its halo car to numerous upgrades throughout its run. Here is an inventory, in no way conclusive, of the improvements brought to bear on the car known as Godzilla.

ROOM INSPIRATION: BOY’S NURSERY

A dark blue accent wall and white, gold and gray circle decals give the illusion of a starry sky in this nursery. The homeowners wanted a look that would be appropriate as their little boy grew, and a solar system theme was born. A must for the nursery: a truly comfortable rocker. Noting that tired new parents often have their hands full, the designers made sure to include an occasional table within reach and an ottoman.

Nothing breaks your heart more than a beautiful supercar going to waste. Taken in Romania, these photos show a huge collection of premium autos, seized from owners who’d illegally imported them to avoid taxes. They’re valued at over 10 million Euros, and currently- nobody knows where they’re headed. Seized cars include Mercedes-Benzes, BMWs and Porsches, a Murcielago LP460 (with an original bullet-hole), Gallardo, Quattroporte and more. Source: Car Buzz

WOMEN LOVE ‘EM TRUCKS

fordtruck

In a study of 1,000 women, 32 percent said the most attractive vehicle a man can drive is a pickup truck. That was enough for first place, five percent ahead of sports cars. Fifty-two percent of the women polled voted black as the most attractive color for a vehicle. They also voted Ford as the most attractive brand, though it had a small plurality with 16 percent. It should come as no surprise that women want to see a clean vehicle, as that was chosen by 45 percent of women as the most important quality.
