FAST AND FURIOUS EXTORTION?

luda

Fast star Ludacris has to be hoping 2014 goes much better than 2013. First, he had to deal with a child support case in September with his baby mama Tamika Fuller, who had Luda’s child while he was still with his longtime girlfriend. Then he had to deal with the case going public—an occurrence so daunting that Fuller used it to extort Ludacris for a new car and $7,500. Ludacris asked the judge in his case to file a gag order because Fuller was threatening to go public with the proceedings if her demands weren’t met, according to documents obtained by TMZ. The judge didn’t grant his request, so we, the public, ended up finding out anyway. No word on if Ludacris succumbed to Fuller’s demands or what car she demanded in the first place.

IN HONOR OF THE KING

BTAT--Elviscar-sm

How did the world’s greatest musician keep life interesting? Birthday boy Elvis Presley had all sorts of treasures on his key rack, from a six-door Mercedes 600 limo to a Stutz Blackhawk, not to mention the No. 11 Shelby Cobra 427 he piloted in Wipeout!. But most of all, Elvis adored his Cadillacs. He fell in love with this Eldorado in a Memphis dealership in the winter of 1967 and drove it daily for some time. He soon encountered a problem, though: It wouldn’t start. Apparently, The King vented his frustration by shooting the car with his pistol. That story is free, but owning this will cost you $229,000. Match this with a blue suede shoes, and you’re all set to rock the night away.

Looking bold an aggressive, the model has been equipped with sportier bumpers, ventilated front fenders and a prominent spindle grille. We can also see a carbon fiber roof, extended side skirts and a four tailpipe exhaust system. The cabin is a little bland but comes nicely equipped with leather sport seats, carbon fiber trim and a meaty steering wheel. There’s also a push-button ignition, metallic accents and a large infotainment display. Power will likely be provided by a 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 460 bhp (343 kW). This could enable the coupe to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of roughly 300 km/h (186 mph).

BUZZ KILL?

audi-sport-quattro-l-6_800x0w

Audi boss Rupert Stadler confirmed that Audi Sport Quattro Laserlight concept will indeed make their way into production, like with the 2015 BMW i8, but not any time in the near future in the U.S. at least. This is because the NHTSA has to approve all new automotive technology before an automaker can fit it on vehicles, and it has yet to even consider this technology for U.S.-bound vehicles. In fact, the NHTSA still has to make a final ruling on Audi’s LED Matrix Display headlights, which we saw on the upcoming 2015 Audi A8, so we suggest not holding your breath on the Audi’s Laserlight setup just yet.
