NAIA Opens Centralized Ride-Hailing Hub for the Holiday Rush

We recently mentioned how New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) has been making preparations at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) for the surge of travelers this Holiday season. That said, one of the main steps they took would definitely help with their efforts. Last December 5, they opened a centralized hub for ride-hailing services and metered taxis at Terminal 3 — NAIA’s busiest terminal.

Albeit just a soft launch then, it became fully operational last December 8, 2024, just in time for the peak Christmas travel season. Grab Philippines, the country’s leading ride-hailing platform, was the first operator to transition to the facility, providing services even during the soft launch.

NAIA is Ready for the Record Holiday Travel Surge

As expected, the Holiday season is going to bring in a surge of travelers in all the transportation hubs, terminals, and tourist hotspots. In this case, airports are no different. New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) is getting ready for what they predict to be the busiest holiday travel season at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) this year.

This is in line with their projected numbers to exceed even those recorded during Undas and in the same period in 2023. NNIC anticipates 2.296 million passengers to pass through its terminals from December 20 to January 3, a 10.95% increase from the comparable period last year.
